STRUCTURAL STEEL REPAIRS - DISTRICT-WIDE AWARD

Richmond, Virginia - Maintenance repairs on seven (7) bridge structures, six (6) of which are the EBL and opposite WBL of overpasses on I-64 in New Kent County with 1 other in Lunenburg County. Repairs under the bridge deck include coping out and replacing deteriorating bridge beam sections and replacing the protective coating on bridge steel. Jacking and blocking of beams is required to replace the beam sections and replace the elastomeric bridge bearings. Top deck repairs include closing deck slabs, parapet closures as well as installing the new class III joint seal per updated VDOT specifications.
