Phase one, is completed, the structural components of the fishing pier are in place. Now we move onto Phase two, which consists of decking, and completion of the buildings. Precon Marine, Inc. was happy to be awarded the contract, and has moved onto Phase II. This will be the best thing for al involved, as we were able to keep the costs down, due to the fact that we were onsite, and ready to begin on the project.

The structural components, have long been completed. And now Phase II is nearing completion. Phase II items include, The Bait Building, Decking, Handicap Access Ramps, Fish Cleaning Stations and Lighting. This phase is also nearing completion, and should be done in approxiamately 3 weeks.

Very soon area residents will once again be taking fish from the pier. Although the weather has not cooperated at times, we were able to work through and have been able to move ahead to near complete on this project.

We believe that the completed Buckroe Beach Fishing Pier will be a fine addition to the City of Hampton's waterfront, and that the fishing community, and residents at large will be very happy with the outcome.
