RO/RO Platform and Pier C Bulkhead Repairs
Newport News Marine Terminal

The scope of work for this project consisted of repairing vertical joints in the concrete cylinder pile bulkhead from the water side, sinkhole repairs behind the bulkhead, installation of a new reinforced concrete slab, demolition of the existing removable railroad track sections and installation of a new railroad track section at the approach to the south side of Pier “C”, cleaning and coating the steel sheet pile bulkhead and demolition of the existing timber fender system and installation of a new timber fender system.
